Your wish has been granted, sort of...

Lately, the world has been an interesting place. Just about everything I had planned for the next few months is cancelled or infinitely postponed. It seems that the world is holding it's breath and the Universe is doing something that we all wish for. It is giving us more time. "I wish I had more time at home, more time with my family, more time to (fill in the blank). It's like the Universe said "challenge accepted"! And here we are.

If there's one thing I have learned over the years, it's that things you ask for from the Universe often don't come in the package you would expect them to. Sometimes, it's a little like opening a beautifully packaged white elephant gift only to find out it's a roll of toilet paper. Which these days, you could probably sell on the black market for a pretty penny, but you know what I mean.

You might get what you are asking for, but it comes bundled in a way that it brings up other things for you to deal with like fears, insecurities or traumas that 'surprise', you hadn't processed as well as you thought you had.

This is where the term 'journey' comes in. While we would like for things to just follow this nice neat, linear path, they don't. We are zigging and zagging all over the place but it can feel like we are standing still. This whole 'the world is cancelled' thing is no exception.

So, now that many of us have been granted more free time with less to do, how are you going to make the most of it? Here's my challenge to you: make a list of everything you have been wishing you had more time to do. Now go do it, if you can. Take the time you have been given to knock the socks off of your 'someday' list.

We don't realize sometimes the load that we carry mentally by having things weigh on us. It can cause us to be irritable, lose sleep or feel like we aren't living up to things the way that we should.

My friend, your wishes have been heard and the Universe has granted them. Now what are you going to do with it??
