Today is the day that we eat too much food. Lots of yummy food. And we take a pause to be grateful before the crazy Christmas season starts. As we move into the franticness that is the next month, don't forget to take moments for yourself. Stop, take a break and breathe. Don't over commit or overpromise. Look at how you are going about your days and remember to ground. Breath up deeply through your feet to balance your energy and emotions. This is the season of giving, but we often forget the most important person to give to this time of year and that is ourselves.
There is a reason this is also flu season. Combine sugary foods with overflowing schedules and cold weather and our bodies tap out. Taking the occasional break for a cup of tea, maybe accompanied by some Christmas music is just what the soul ordered. So enjoy the day and the energy of the season. Find joy in the little things, for this is what fills our cups. And remember that its only with a full cup that we can help everyone else. Peace love and happiness to you and yours.
