I just found out what an empath is a year ago and that's definitely me. I've always felt something after seeing a person out and about. It's like deep in the core of my stomach, sorrow, sadness, a feeling of empathy for that person. I remember back in elementary school, maybe 2nd, 3rd grade I think , we took a class trip to downtown Washington, D.C. (I'm a D.C. native), and this child, whom look severely mentally handicapped (back in the 70's were deemed mentally retarded) in a wheel chair being pushed by a woman. We were near the Washington Monument, museums, etc. Some of my class mates were laughing at him, making fun of him. I remember feeling such sadness that his had occurred. I need to get the book Feel Better in Five Minutes: An Empowering Guide to Gain Control Over Your Emotions. My emotions are all over the place. My mood, my sanity is up and down and every where. Also, I was told I'm physic and like my mother, God rest her soul, get the feelings and knowing, the dreams.
